VIDEO: Northville Varsity Boys Basketball Beats Birmingham Groves

The boys will now go on to play Milford tonight as part of the Holiday Tournament.

The Mustangs' varsity boys basketball team won its first game in the Holiday Tournament Wednesday night against Birmingham Groves High School, 50-39.

Northville hosts the tournament. The boys varsity team will now play Milford High School at 7 p.m. Thursday at .

Northville boys varsity coach Todd Sander said he was pleased with how the team played and looks forward to meeting Milford on the court.

"Milford's a good team. We watched them play earlier today. They're undefeated," he said. "They play terrific defense. It should be a very, very competitive battle."

Earlier Wednesday evening, the girls varsity basketball team beat Ann Arbor Skyline, 50-23. The boys junior varsity team defeated Birmingham Groves, 64-36.
