Northville to Host Concours D'Elegance Preview Party

Shuttles will run from the Concours d'Elegance event in Plymouth to downtown Northville on July 28.

Lovers of vintage automobiles and the annual Concours d’Elegance, can now enjoy a weekend full of rare and magnificent collector vehicles when they take a trip to downtown Northville on Saturday, July 28 (3-9 p.m.). Downtown Northville has partnered this year with the annual event at the Inn at St. John’s to host the Northville’s Concours d’Elegance Preview Event and Rare Car Exhibit.

Taking place on Main Street between Hutton and Center Streets – the event – sponsored by the Northville Downtown Development Authority and Roush Racing – includes a rare, vintage car exhibition featuring 20 pre-war vehicles, live music throughout the day from jazz duo, The Sugar Snaps and swing band, The Tom Allport Band. The day’s schedule is as follows:

  • 3-8 p.m. ~ Rare, Vintage Car Exhibit
  • 4-6 p.m. ~ Performance by The Sugar Snaps (Jazz Duo)
  • 7-9 p.m. ~ Performance by The Tom Allport Band (Swing Band)

Shuttle Service – sponsored by and Allstate - Joel Schembri Agency – will also be available from St. John’s in Plymouth to downtown Northville on Saturday, July 28 and Sunday, July 29. Hours of operation for the shuttle service are:

  • 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Saturday, July 28
  • 8 a.m.-6 p.m. Sunday, July 29

Visitors to Northville’s Concours d’Elegance Preview Event and Rare Car Exhibit can also enjoy walking throughout town and viewing six art masterpieces from the DIA’s Inside|Out Exhibit. For those who also want to do a little shopping or grab a bite to eat while in town, there is a variety of locally-owned shops and restaurants located throughout town.

Joe, the closed sign was in the window because Chocolates by Renee was closed for the day. The forRead More rent sign was in the window because the space holds more then one business. The other space that the chocolate store does not occupy is available to rent.
