Photos: Fourth of July Parade Marches Through Northville

New route? No problem, as crowds pack streets in Northville for Independence Day parade.

From city and township fire trucks to mascots from the Detroit Tigers and Plymouth Whalers, parade spectators had plenty to see in Northville on Wednesday.

Large crowds braved the heat to line streets for the community's Fourth of July parade, which took a different route this year because of road work. Among the faces riding in the parade were Detroit Tigers mascot Paws and Plymoth Whalers mascot Shooter.
