An Introduction to Polish Research
Guest Speaker: Jan Zaleski, a native and lifelong resident of Detroit, Michigan. His compulsive genealogical activities are funded by his official full time position as a civilian detention officer with the Detroit Police Department. From 1990-1995, he was one of three Accredited Genealogists with a Specialty in Polish Research on researcher lists, distributed by the LDS/Mormon Family History Library. For 27 of the last 29 years, he has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Polish Genealogical Society of Michigan, and served in various capacities, including six years as President.
The public is invited to attend, free of charge, the meeting of the Northville Genealogical Society. The 1:15 p.m. meeting will be held on Sunday, November 10, 2013 at the Northville District Library, 212 West Cady, in Northville.
Individual help on genealogy is offered in the Local History Room at the Northville District Library on Monday afternoons 1-3 p.m. and also by appointment. For more information contact Mary Hazlett at 734-459-5493.
