Sundays at Mill Race Village and More This Weekend

1. Friday Night Concert

When: 7 to 9 p.m. Friday
Where: Town Square in downtown Northville
What: The series, presented by the Northville Downtown Development Authority and Tom Holzer Ford, brings local musicians to downtown Northville. This Friday enjoy classic rock by Steve King, Michigan’s “official" state band.

2. Sundays at Mill Race Village

When: 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday
Where: Mill Race Village in Northville
What: Each Sunday afternoon mid-June to mid-October the buildings at Mill Race Village are open for public viewing. Costumed docents are on hand to inform visitors about the buildings, their contents, and about Northville’s past. Many weekends, a working blacksmith demonstrates the craft, weavers and rug hookers ply their trades, and an occasional strolling musician may be found. 

3. Michigan State Fair in Novi

When: Friday through Monday
Where: Suburban Collection Showplace - 46100 Grand River Ave. in Novi
What: The Fifth Third Bank Michigan State Fair is here! The highly anticipated event runs this weekend in Novi. Find carnival rides, midway games, the Detroit Shrine Circus, great food, animals and more.
