There was a time when Northville and its surrounding environs were all apple orchards. But then came Mr. Development and his cash for acreage scheme, and the character and quality of Northville was no more. Sad that development and the "Almighty Dollar" ruined what was a very fertile, very clean and very productive land. As a former Northvillian who grew up just off 8 mile, my heart grieves for the Livonia-style development that has engulfed what was one of the nicest, Norman Rockwell-ish, greatest little towns in all the realm. Sigh.
