Get an abortion, kill an innocent person-to-be, fine. Leave a helpless child to die, so sorry, I'm aRead More woman, not my fault. It's amazing how many females get away for crimes that would land a typical man in jail. War on Women, NOT! Do overs, yes, and yes again. When will these childish, stupid femmes grow up and really care about their creations? In suburbia, not anytime soon...

Yeah you get ripped for looking stupid and fat if you do something like this because people want to identify him with something ugly. We as a society have to have stern consequences for people like this....an eye for an eye...put them in a hot car and air it on Saturday night!

Where do you get the signs negating the proposal?
Dennis Waling July 9, 2014 at 04:58 pm
Mr.'s Edwards, Reaume, and Cozemal what are you thinking? You borrow $2,000,000 to put up anRead More amphitheater but won't use the money for 3 fire trucks and 2 EMS vehicles. You are thinking like the Federal government. WASTE! WASTE! WASTE! TAX the residents they don't mind. We are having a hard enough time making a living. We don't need or want entertainment...we need services. You all lost my vote!!!!!

Once his victim confirms his story I say let him out. But not before then.
Steven Narbonne July 10, 2014 at 11:27 am
"Long since paid the price"? Is the victim still dead? Then he has not paid in full. GoodRead More call on the judge's part. Let this piece of trash die in prison.
Scott Adams July 10, 2014 at 01:36 pm
I am in complete agreement with the U.S. Supreme Court and the Eighth Amendment: the punishmentRead More should fit the crime and Mr. Echoles committed the ultimate crime. 25 years in prison does not equate to "paid the price." He was also a convicted junkie. With a gun. Those wanting clemency really think he didn't know it was wrong to sell/do drugs and shoot people dead .....with a gun he illegally had? Let him do his "good works" right where he is. In prison. Flood our schools with reprints of this story....and our comments....maybe it'll deter young impressionables that acting as Mr. Echols did is inhumane and simply not forgivable.

Need motivation to quit? Park in front of a liquor store around 5:15PM on a weekday. Notice whoRead More walks in and out. Depressed, unhealthy, baggy eyed, alcoholics. Losers. You want to be like them? They don't drink because they're depressed. They're depressed because they drink.

The thing I find interesting is women are dead set against people that smoke but the major majorityRead More of them drink regularly. I suppose they justify it because booze won't give them lung cancer. So who cares about liver cancer, hardening of the arteries, heart disease, kidney failure, abdominal and bowel cancer and a permanent lose of thousands of brain cells with each drink. I have yet to see one report of a driver under the influence of nicotine killing anyone while driving. So heres lookin at ya drink up and put that cigarette out before ya kill somebody with second hand smoke and just use a car.

Valeria, your experience is somewhat different from mine. I had a very dear friend commit suicideRead More because all that could be done, at the end, was to sit in bed on major and I mean major drugs to control the pain. They decided for themselves before they where totally incapacitated to end it. Watching that suffering they went through convinced me that the end of a life is a personal choice that belongs to the person who is living that life and no one else on earth.
cookiepro2 July 10, 2014 at 12:15 am
For one who has a family member just diagnosed as terminal (many problems par for the course for aRead More 92 year old) if we had such a law permitting assisted suicide, I'd say proceed with caution based on our experience of the last couple days. Loved one requested the "plug pulled" many times (actually no plugs or machines simply occasional respiratory mask as breathing aid) but changed mind yesterday, and is entering hospice care. He is in no pain (yet), condition has actually improved and has had the opportunity for many family members to come and visit. I sense a winding up of a life well-lived, and the opportunity for many "I love you's". This would have been missed if his request had been immediately jumped upon and was legal. Don't know what the next few weeks will bring, there may be a time when the suffering will be great and wish for euthanasia, but glad at least of the past couple days.
Bill July 10, 2014 at 08:41 am
Euthanasia is a means of respecting the sanctity and quality of life while providing an individualRead More the choice to die with grace and dignity. It is a very personal choice, but a choice that an individual should legally be permitted to make - provided of course, there is a protocol established. Whether or not to pursue euthanasia should not be a decision that could be made on a whim, when the subject is experiencing a low point.

Qur'ans reduced to litter and soot. A trivia question. Which book, the Qur'an or the bible, hasRead More the largest carbon footprint when factoring in the manufacture, and the burning , of same? Even though he may be mentally challenged, odds are, Asadi could qualify to purchase a firearm. The police better be on their toes the next time.....crazy things can happen....Jones shot himself in the foot in Dearborn....we could have another shooting incident.....
