Choosing the perfect prom gown takes a lot of patience. Finding the perfect prom date takes a lot of courage. Getting the perfect prom hairdo takes a lot of trust. But once everything comes together, getting that perfect prom picture is a piece of cake! Northville High School's prom was Thursday. A crowd of students, volunteers and school staff gathered Thursday morning for the grand opening of Thornton Creek Elementary School's new playground.
Children roared and cheered as they tried out the equipment Thursday on Thornton Creek Elementary School's new playground. The playground is not only all new equipment but features an inclusive play design fit for children of all abilities. The school and volunteers raised $105,000 for the playground, said Thornton Creek Principal Alison Epler. The school also won a $50,000 grand prize in a national contest with playground manufacturer Landscape Structures. Were you at the grand opening? Did you help build the playground? After more than a week without a playground, the Northville elementary school students celebrate the new one's grand opening.

The Northville High School Mustangs varsity girls soccer team beat Canton High School Monday by a score of 2-1. The following summary of the game was submitted by Northville girls soccer coach Eric Brucker. Northville defeats Canton 2-1 as part of the Kensington Conference cross-over game. First half 19th Minute: Junior Ashley Peper sends a high lofted ball from 30 yards out into the Canton goal-mouth. Senior Emily Bush beats the Canton keeper the ball on flicks it into the net. 26th Minute: Junior Rachel Yaggi plays a square ball across the top of the 18 yard box. Junior Gabby Mencotti, collects the pass, turns and fires a shot off the keeper for the eventual game winner. 33rd Minute: Northville Keeper Kiki Hilmer was called for a …

The Mustangs win both games by a score of 4-0.
The Northville High School Mustangs varsity girls soccer team beat South Lyon High School Tuesday by a score of 4-0. The following summary of the game was submitted by Northville girls soccer coach Eric Brucker. On Senior night, Northville picks up its 12th win of the season with a 4-0 shutout of South Lyon. Before the game, five seniors were recognized – Emily Bush, Cassidy Ebach, Kiki Hilmer, Alexis Mencotti, and Gabbie Guibord. First half 13th Minute: Junior Gabby Mencotti played a long ball out of the midfield to a streaking Emily Bush. Bush shielded the ball for the defender and fired an 18 yard shot. 23rd Minute: Gabby Mencotti gets her own goal on a 12 yard shot.
