UPDATE: Romney Wins Majority of Northville's Vote in 2012 Michigan Presidential Primary

Check back for updates on primary election night in Northville.

The polls are now closed. Who will win Michigan? We'll have the results for Northville as soon as they come in. Please check back for updates throughout the night. 10:15 p.m. NBC reports that Romney is the projected winner in Michiganwith 42 percent of the vote. Rick Santorum is projected to be close behind with 265,939 votes or 37 percent of the vote. 9:40 p.m. City of Northville precinct results are in: In total, 1258 votes were cast in the city of 4970 registered voters. Mitt Romney has won the city's vote in both precincts with a total of 639 votes or 50.7 percent of the vote. Rick Santorum garnered 299 votes in the city of Northville or 23.7 percent of the city's vote.  And 113 votes were cast for Democrats, with more than 90 percent …

5 Things to Know About the Michigan Presidential Primary

With the primary around the corner, here's some helpful info to know about the big day.

When: Polls are open from 7 a.m.-8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 28 Where: Your local precinct polling site (check municipal clerk's office if unsure). Check out our previous story for more details about your polling place. Absentee voting: Available at your municipal building by 4 p.m. Monday, Feb. 27, or by mail if a ballot was requested. Party choice: Any registered voter can vote in either party's presidential primary (President Obama is the only Democratic choice, aside from "Uncommitted.")  Under a state law signed last October, each voter's choice of party – not private candidate preference – remains on a public record in Lansing for 22 months.
