Northville Motorcyclist Dies in Accident
Willard Combs, 40, of Northville, died after his Harley Davidson—which had apparently broken down—was hit by a Ford Taurus in Salem Township. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
A Northville man has died after his motorcycle was hit by a car in Salem Township on Friday, according to a press release from the Michigan State Police. Willard Combs, 40, died after his Harley Davidson—which had apparently broken down—was hit by a Ford Taurus in the southbound lane of Pontiac Trail, just north of Five Mile Road. State police said Combs, who was not wearing a helmet, was thrown from the motorcycle and into the windshield of the car. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the car, 22-year-old Sarah Patton of South Lyon, suffered minor injuries and sought her own treatment, police said. Patton was wearing her seat belt.
