Northville Youth Wrestling students competed at a tournament at Walled Lake Central on Saturday. Four students took first place: Grant Hood, Boden Dietrich, Jake Merritt and Mason Stewart. In second place were Trevor Morgan, Luke Lindstrom, Andrew Hayak, Josh Bentley and Michael Merritt. Placing third were Parker Dietrich, Brendan Boyd and Nathan Jones. Alex Jones placed fourth. Aidan Hayak also competed. The young wrestlers are students at Northville elementary and middle schools.
The group won eight medals at the Sunday tournament.

The Northville Youth Wrestling team competed Sunday at the Dearborn Heights MYWAY Youth Tournament. Twelve kids from Northville schools won eight medals. First Place Brendan Boyd, Hillside Middle School student Parker Dietrich, Silver Springs Elementary School student Andrew Hayak, Thornton Creek Elementary School student Second Place Aidan Hayak, Thornton Creek student Jake Merritt, Winchester Elementary School student Michael Merritt, Winchester student Third Place Boden Dietrich, Silver Springs student Grant Hood, Silver Springs student Other competitors included: Jacob Bisdorf of Ridgewood Elementary School, Alex Jones and Mason Jennings of Silver Springs and Trevor Morgan of Hillside.
