The North American Aerospace Defense Command has a website that now offers a Santa tracker mobile app to follow the jolly man's magical flight.

They sent him their wish lists, sat on his lap, and left cookies and milk for his arrival. Now the only thing left for children to do is track Santa's progress as he delivers gifts around the world on Christmas Eve. Thanks to the folks behind the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) website, families worldwide can now follow Santa's Christmas journey in real time. The tradition started in 1955 after an advertisement for Sears Roebuck & Co. misprinted a telephone number for a special "Santa hotline." Santa Will Reply to Letters from Children in Northville

Thanks to a very special U.S. Postal Service program, "Santa" will reply to children who mail him their Christmas wish lists this holiday season.

Every year, millions of children sit down to make a wish list for Santa, hoping he will make all of their Christmas dreams come true. But what if Santa actually wrote back? The United States Postal Service is now accepting "Letters From Santa," a program that allows any person to play Santa by sending a letter signed by Saint Nick to any child. According to a postal service news release, "The 'Letters From Santa' program helps parents fulfill the dreams of their own children." Santa Visits Maybury This Weekend

Stop by to get a photo and shop for food made on the farm.

Santa is back at Maybury Farm in Northville this weekend. Children are welcome to bring their Christmas lists, and parents are welcome to bring their cameras to take photos. Santa will be in the Welcome Center on Saturday and Sunday from noon to 3 p.m. Cider and donuts will be available and the gift shop will be open. Jellies, jams, butters and honey from the farm will be available for purchase. Maybury asks that visitiors make a donation for admission that will go toward winter food for the animals. Skate With Santa in Novi on Dec. 23

The big guy will be making an appearance at Novi Ice Arena.

Santa Claus will be making a special trip from the North Pole to skate with families at Novi Ice Arena on Sunday, Dec. 23. Santa will be taking pictures and skating during open skate from 3-4:50 p.m. The event also includes raffles and games. Cost is $4 for Novi residents and $5 for non-residents. Skate rental is available for $3.

Pets Can Take Photos with Santa Sunday

Bring your pet to Twelve Oaks Mall to get a photo keepsake.

Photos with Santa aren't just for children anymore.  The public is invited to bring their pets big and small to pose with Santa on Sunday, Dec. 2 from 9-10:45 a.m. in Center Court at Twelve Oaks Mall. Space is limited and you must make a reservation by calling 248-348-9438. All dogs and cats must be on a leash or in a carrier and be up-to-date on all shots.

Parade Brings Holiday Cheer, Santa to Northville

View photos of the annual Northville Holiday Lighted Parade, which lit up the streets Friday night.

The streets of downtown Northville were full of holiday cheer Friday night as crowds gathered to watch the annual Holiday Lighted Parade, featuring the Northville High School Marching Band, colorful holiday floats, decorated cars and festively costumed groups. The guest of honor was, of course, Santa Claus. Santa was presented with an honorary key to the city by Mayor Christopher Johnson just before the two lighted the tree in Town Square.
