A Twelve Oaks Mall representative says the wildly popular chain restaurant's first Michigan location will open by the end of the year.
A Novi restaurant noted for its upscale atmosphere and live music quietly closed last week. And what's taking its place has already taken metro Detroit by storm. The Cheesecake Factory's first Michigan location will fill the vacancy left by Tin Fish, which celebrated its opening at Twelve Oaks Mall in June of 2010. Tin Fish's Patridge Creek Mall location, on Hall Road in Clinton Township, remains open. An employee who answered the phone there declined to comment on why the restaurant closed. One of Novi's newer restaurants is Tin Fish, which is located in Twelve Oaks Mall at 27862 Novi Road. This ambitious bar and restaurant has its own separate entrance to the parking lot to accommodate diners when the mall is not open. Atmosphere: The interior of the restaurant is dark with an open upper level and an elevated stage for live entertainment that sits above the expansive bar. Colorful lights decorate the interior, and there is an outside patio for drinks or dining in the warmer weather. There is often live entertainment, which is not overly loud, but it's something to keep in mind if you are hoping to have a lot of conversation.
