School Board to Vote on Final Boundary Changes

The Northville Public Schools Board of Education is considering changing boundaries for several schools in the district.

School boundary changes will be the main topic of discussion at tonight's Northville school board meeting. The meeting will be held at 7:30 p.m. at Hillside Middle School, 775 N. Center St. Due to an increase in enrollment, the board has been considering changing several elementary and middle school attendance boundaries for the 2013-14 school year. According to an email from the district, the board selected at a March 26 meeting the following options for boundary changes: Elementary Level Option W-1: reassign a portion of the current Ridge Wood Elementary attendance area to Winchester Elementary Middle School Level MS-Option 2: move a portion of the current Silver Springs Elementary/Meads Mill Middle attendance area to a Silver Springs …

Due to an increase in enrollment, the Northville Board of Education is considering changing several school boundaries. Winchester To Host Blood Drive on Feb. 11

Donate blood at Winchester Elementary School in Northville.

The American Red Cross will have a blood drive at Winchester Elementary School in Northville on Monday, Feb. 11 from 2:30-8:15 p.m. in the Multi-purpose Room. Appointments are highly recommended and can be made by clicking here. To donate blood, you must be at least 17 years old, weigh at least 110 pounds, be in general good health and provide a valid photo ID upon donation. Northville School Bus Slides off Road Into Tree

Nobody was injured on the bus heading to Winchester Elementary School Tuesday morning.

A Northville school bus heading to Winchester Elementary School slid off the roadway and into a tree on Franklin Road Tuesday morning, according to an email from the Winchester listserv. None of the 18 students on the bus were injured and they were able to board another bus to school. The email from the district gives details on what happened in the incident: For your awareness, there was a bus incident involving Bus N resulting from icy road conditions. The vehicle was driven by an experienced driver, and was on Franklin when it started to slide. The bus slid off the road sideways, into a tree, and came to a stop.
