ReplyZingerman's has many great baked goods including my favorite the Country Scone. Always enjoy bumping in to co-owner Ari Weinzweig and sharing his great enthusiasm for food and service which they actually teach in "Zing Train."

ReplyI love Visions, my whole family has been going there for years. The owners put a lot of thought and effort in to the spa and salon and the people who work there are really nice and do a great job. The spa is top of the line and very relaxing.

ReplyMy family loves Somerset! It's great for the whole family especially with the recent addition of the Lego store.
The kids like to run around and see all the cool fountains and Mom and Dad can sip coffee underneath the
palm trees and pretend we're in warmer weather. Lots of great shops including Crate and Barrel and Pottery Barn Kids! -

ReplyI had one thumb sucker and one pacifier user. Eventually you want them to stop either behavior for the sake of their teeth! But also because of peer pressure, or embarrassing themselves in public because I believe society frowns on binky use, especially over the age of 2 or 3.
It's our job as parents to help our kids to learn to soothe themselves in a healthy way. We want them to learn to think for themselves and make good choices. Easy for me to say, as I tend to soothe myself with cookies!Good Luck!!

ReplyThe Wolfgang Puck restaurant there is one of the best in the state, and the spa is amazing.
Even the decorations outside are off the chart. Everyone I've ever dealt with there has been
more than accomodating.

I think the point Nancy is making that it is our job as parents to teach kids to be responsible for themselves and
face the consequences of not doing it from the teacher. Not that the teacher has to do anything "extra." It's the students' grade and future based on that grade so they need to learn to be responsible for it themselves....hopefully in grade school so they know how to be organized by High School. Homework is a tough one. The Los Angeles school board is just now implementing a new plan to make homework only account for 10 percent of a student's grade.
