Northville Dancer Out to Prove She Can Dance

Amy Yakima passed the first round of auditions on the 10th season of "So You Think You Can Dance."

One Northville dancer is hoping to become “America’s Favorite Dancer” and showing the world that she can dance.

The dance audition for Amy Yakima, 19, appeared last night on “So You Think You Can Dance," and according to the Detroit Free Press, the three judges of the Fox Network series were so impressed they sent her to the second round.

“You were absolutely spectacular,” judge Mary Murphy said after Yakima’s audition. “You make it look effortless. The hair went up on my arms and it doesn’t happen very often, I’ll be honest with you.”
