Celebrate Fall at Maybury Farm's Harvest Day This Weekend

These are 6 pieces of information you'll want to know about Harvest Day in Northville.

It must be fall if it's time for Harvest Day at Maybury Farm. 

Join in on the fun Saturday at Maybury Farm in Northville Township. Here are six details you'll want to know about the event.

1. Location

Maybury Farm is at 50165 Eight Mile in Northville Township. It is about one and half miles west of Beck Road. Visitors must pass the state park entrance for about an eighth of a mile, then turn in at the red Maybury Farm sign located on the south side of Eight Mile Road.

2. Opening of the Corn Maze

The corn is tall and thick this year at Maybury Farm and perfect for the kick-off to the corn maze. The corn maze will be open 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday. The last day for the maze is Nov. 3. 

3. Canning and Preserving Demonstration

Harvest Day will feature a canning demonstration with Mary Spencer at 1 p.m. She will be teaching how to can pickles and preserve raspberries. Sounds delicious! 

4. Visit the Animals

Maybury Farm's animals are always happy to see visitors. You can say hello to goats, pigs, a miniature donkey, miniature horses, draft horses, a cow, turkeys, ducks, geese, lambs, sheep, peacocks, chickens, roosters and guinea hens.

5. Maybury Farm General Store

The general store will be open and includes items for sale like popcorn, snacks, soda and water. Since its expansion, the store now sells jams, jellies, butters, Maybury Farm honey and maple syrup, plus small gift items. 

6. Entry Cost

Admission is $2.50 per person, while children two years old and under are free.
