New Traffic Signals Already Up at Beck Road, M-14

Drivers can expect a smoother commute near Northville Township.

Well, that was fast!

Although the lights are not yet functioning, the new traffic signals were installed at Beck Road and the eastbound exit from M-14 near Northville Township.

Without the traffic lights, drivers making left turns onto Beck at the intersection face lengthy waits during peak hours.

Rep. Kurt Heise (R-Plymouth) worked with Plymouth Township officials and the Michigan Department of Transportation to install the new traffic signal.

"The intersection created a dangerous situation, people were left waiting and often made ill-advised turns due to the amount of time they had to exit," Heise said in a news release. "This is a common sense fix to the problem."
