3 People Trespass at Northville Psychiatric Hospital

Officers also noticed flashlights and camera flashes in some of the buildings.

Northville Township police provided this information. Arrests do not indicate convictions.

Northville Township police arrested two women, of Wayne, and a man, of Westland, around 2 a.m. Sept. 17 on charges of trespassing onto the former psychiatric hospital, according to a police report.

Police were checking the property, at 41001 Seven Mile Road, with a thermal imager, the report said. The officer pointed the vehicle’s spotlights at the three people, according to the report. They told the officer they were on the property to help a friend who had car trouble, the report said.

They also told the officer that they noticed flashlights on the property and there seemed to be several groups inside the buildings, the report said. Officers did notice flashlights shining and camera flashes in the buildings but were unable to locate any other suspects, according to the report.

The officer issued trespassing citations to the three people. They have hearings Oct. 2 at 35th District Court, according to the report.
