Police Arrest Woman on Charges of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol

The following information was supplied by the City of Northville police. Arrests do not indicate convictions.

City of Northville police arrested a woman 1:51 a.m. May 12 on charges of operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol, according to a police report.

The officer saw a blue 2012 Chrysler 300 with broken tail lights on Eight Mile Road and Whitegate Drive, the report said.  The officer stopped the woman and noticed that her eyes were bloodshot and glassy and her speech was slurred, according to the report.

She said she had one glass of wine at dinner when she was at her brother’s house celebrating Mother’s Day, the report said.

The officer conducted several sobriety tests and administered a preliminary breathalyzer test, which had a result of .13 percent blood alcohol content, according to the report.

The officer arrested her, and the vehicle was released to the passenger, the woman’s mother, the report said.

She posted $500 bond and has an 8:30 a.m. hearing May 20.
