$500 Missing from Northville Business

The following information was supplied by the City of Northville police.

A man can be seen on surveillance video breaking into Northville Wine & Spirits 3:04 a.m. May 9, according to a City of Northville police report.

The officer arrived at the store, 680 West Eight Mile Road, after an alarm went off and noticed that the front door was open and the glass had been broken out, the report said. The registers were all ajar and money appeared to be missing, according to the report.

The owner arrived and confirmed that only money had been taken, the report said, and reviewed surveillance video to provide a description of the suspect.

In the video, a man pulled a BB gun from his waistband and shot the front door glass causing it to shatter, according to the report.  The suspect then unlocked the door, went inside and took money from all three cash registers, a total of $500, the report said. 

The man can be seen was wearing a white mask and gloves in the video, according to the report.
