Riffle's Opens Outdoor Dining in Northville

The downtown Northville restaurant has new furniture for dining outside.

Riffle’s Restaurant's outdoor seating arrived in time for the Arts & Acts festival and the Northville Summer Carnival this weekend.

There are five tables now, two outside the front of the downtown restaurant and three along the wall facing Town Square. Soon there will be eight, owner Bill Riffle said.

Riffle, who has been in the restaurant business for 25 years, said outdoor seating is beneficial to the community.

“People like to sit outside and be seen, especially when you have a small, quaint, little town like this, with a very small main street going through it. You wouldn’t want to sit on a four-lane highway on a patio looking out, but in a city atmosphere like this, it’s just an ideal situation," he said.
