City's Wayne County Voters Move to Bigger Polling Location: Only 18 people stopped by to vote as of 9:20 a.m. However, Edie Paradowski, who has been a poll worker since 2006, said the bigger space will come in handy for future elections.

Update: 11 a.m.
About 25 people walked in to vote at Amerman Elementary School, Precinct 2, by 10 a.m. Tuesday.

Poll workers said Precinct 2 voters, City of Northville residents who live in Oakland County, submitted a total of almost 300 absentee ballots.

Update: 9:30 a.m.

Only 18 people have stopped by Precinct 1, the Northville Community Center, to vote as of 9:20 a.m.

"There's no opposition," said Edie Paradowski, elections inspector. "So I expected it to be a small voter turnout."

She said there are 2,320 registered voters, residents of the City of Northville who live in Wayne County, in Precinct 1. There are 179 total absentee ballots from those residents, she said.

"Throughout the day we fit them in when recording the other ballots," she said.
